Leigh Leopards Playoff Ticketing Update
With the club guaranteed for a third year of making the playoffs and looking highly likely of a home tie for the first time in the Super League era it’s important that the club notifies supporters of the process for acquiring home and away tickets for the playoff series.
For away playoff games
(Please note HKR capacity restricts away sales to circa 1100) Members will obviously receive priority for all playoff games and they will be set in the following order for a 24 hour exclusive period for each tier from point of sale for away games where members may buy one ticket for their own membership. Each tier will have availability throughout once others are added.
Should our final position not be known until after the final game of the season the exclusive membership period will be shortened and communicated nearer the time.
Black/Platinum/Gold Plus Card members
Gold Card members
White Card members
Red Card members
At the end of the membership opportunity to secure your individual ticket, the process will be repeated so that members through tiers in the above order can purchase additional tickets. The additional add ons will be capped at four per member subject to availability on a first come first served basis.
For a home playoff game there will be an increase of 200 tickets in the North Stand as a result of a special application made against the stadium’s license and additional facilities being provided to achieve this.
All members will be provided with their opportunity to purchase their individual ticket. This will again follow the same tiered category process so that the higher tiers get the opportunity to swap their normal seat to the North Stand availability. This will then follow through each tier. After each tier has had the opportunity to purchase their own or a different released stand or seat the process will be repeated through the tiers for additional tickets at a maximum of four additional tickets per member.
After this process, should tickets still be available, they will go on sale to anyone who has purchased a ticket to a Leigh Leopards fixture at the Leopards Den at Leigh Sports Village in 2025 for a further exclusive period of 24 hours with only one ticket per customer.
After this point tickets will go on general sale, although it is extremely unlikely this will become available.
Club owner Derek Beaumont said: “It’s a pinch yourself moment to be making announcements like this about the club. Like the rest of the town I am super excited to yet again see our club rewrite the record books, most recently beating Warrington away from home for the first time since the ‘80s and finishing in the top five of the elite competition for three consecutive years for the first time in our history.
“It really is amazing and the support of the town is overwhelming and motivating to the players and all the staff. It is important that we recognise those that have been part of the membership Famileigh. There are 6500 members amongst the tiers and the capacity without the south stand is a little over 8000 so if all members take advantage of claiming their seat there will be just over 1500 tickets for members to claim extra and this will mean there will be very little chance of a general sale.
“I have noticed that of the 812 lapsed members over the past years since its launch, the vast majority have attended more than two games. I struggle to comprehend why in doing so they didn’t invest in the Red Card membership and with it the benefits that brings for members’ discounts at outlets, the club shop and away tickets, not to mention the priority to purchase tickets.
“This has now become even more evident given the playoffs. The Red Card membership commits a member to two tickets of their choice in the season. With only two games left, both at home, there has never been a more important time to purchase a Red Card membership to ensure you have your ticket to the last two games but more importantly you can guarantee your ticket to any home playoff fixture, and increase your chances in an away playoff fixture.
“Red Card memberships are available to purchase online at the ticket office or by phone (01942 487888) up until 5pm Thursday 11th September. Anyone who has already purchased individual tickets to the Saints fixture can contact the ticket office by phone or in person and purchase the Red Card membership and have the cost of the Saints ticket deducted from their purchase to ensure they have a membership that gives them priority.
“I have no doubt that any home playoff will be a lock out and I don’t want people who have been to multiple games that don’t get an opportunity to buy a ticket complaining that they have been to most games when a Red Card member only may have been to two. It’s about being committed and a membership is the biggest sign of commitment to the club whatever tier that is. Please get your Red Card memberships to ensure your ability to attend the games before other members secure additional tickets.
“Thanks to everyone for their support and not least Adrian and the team for creating such exciting opportunities for us all.”
