Gareth is proud to be the very first player to join the Leopards LD team, earning him the honour of Heritage Number 01. A true original, he’s been part of the team since day one and continues to bring passion and energy to every game. Gareth loves representing the Leopards at festivals and especially thrives when playing in front of his home supporters – nothing beats the thrill of scoring on home turf! His enthusiasm and commitment make him a much-loved member of the squad.

Alex Taylor

Believe it or not, Alex is usually quite shy when meeting someone for the first time – but you’d never guess that when he’s in front of the North Stand! A lifelong Leigh supporter, Alex’s connection to the club runs deep. He was even a team mascot back in the Hilton Park days, proudly leading out his heroes. Now he’s living his dream on the pitch as part of the Leopards LD team, showing passion, pride, and a whole lot of heart every time he plays.

Lewis Johnson

Lewis is always happy, never without a smile – and always ready with a killer sense of humour! One of our original Leopards, he’s been with the LD team since the early days and continues to be a shining light on and off the pitch. Lewis is the kind of player every team needs – supportive, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand to his teammates and coaches. His positivity and team spirit make him a true fan favourite.

Chloe Johnson

Chloe is a natural leader on the Leopards LD team – always supportive of her teammates and never afraid to step in and help the coaches keep everyone in line when needed! Her competitive spirit shines through on the pitch, and she brings a winning mindset to every game. Chloe is no stranger to success, having proudly won two gold medals in Special Olympics Horse Dressage. With her determination, leadership, and winning attitude, Chloe is an invaluable part of the team.

Jason Atkinson

DOB: JUNE 1999

Heritage Number: 05

Jason brings experience and dedication to the Leopards LD team, having previously played for the Wigan Warriors LD side before following Coach Scott to his new home. Now a fully converted Leopard, Jason is one of the most committed players around – always the first to arrive at training and the last to leave. He thrives on matchdays, especially when playing at the LSV, where he proudly wears the Leopards badge. His work ethic and passion make him a key part of the team.

Leyton might be the quiet one off the pitch, but once the game starts, his face lights up with a constant smile. Though naturally shy, his love for the sport shines through every time he steps onto the field. A true summer rugby fan, Leyton comes to life in the sunshine – he’s definitely not a fan of the cold! His positivity and quiet determination make him a much-loved part of the Leopards LD team.

Josh is more than just a player – he’s a mentor, a leader, and a role model within the Leopards LD team. Always ready to support his teammates, Josh plays a key role in helping quieter and newer players feel welcome and grow in confidence. His support for the coaching staff, both at training sessions and on festival days, is invaluable. Off the pitch, Josh also volunteers at the Foundation’s A Team Hub, where he continues to make a positive impact. He’s a true asset to the team and the wider community.

Luke O’Toole

Luke is without a doubt one of the cheekiest players on the Leopards LD team! Never seen without a bag of crisps in hand and his trusty Deadpool figure (which somehow always ends up in the coach’s pocket on festival days), Luke brings bags of personality wherever he goes. His bond with Assistant Coach Dave is something special – the two are best buds and definitely bring out the cheeky side in each other! Luke’s humour, energy, and unique charm make him a fan favourite and a much-loved member of the squad.

Joe Ratcliffe

DOB: DECEMBER 1996

If Joe were an animal, he’d definitely be a monkey – full of energy, always making us laugh and constantly smiling! He brings a playful spirit to the Leopards LD team and is famous for his awesome try celebrations that always get the crowd going. Joe knows how to lift the mood on festival days with his infectious enthusiasm, killer dance moves, and cheeky charm. He’s also got quite the eye for the ladies! Joe’s fun-loving nature makes him a standout both on and off the pitch.

Cameron Dunn

Cammy is well known around the club for his impressive collection of first team player boots – a true superfan with a big heart! He joined the Leopards LD team from St Helens and quickly became a key part of the squad. This year, Cammy has stepped up in a big way, taking on a mentoring role and becoming the team’s very own LD ‘big brother’. He’s a fantastic support to the younger and newer players, helping them settle in and grow in confidence. Cammy leads with kindness, experience, and a real passion for the game.

Logan Seddon

Logan is a Leopard through and through – always giving 100% in training and at every festival. His dedication and determination have helped him develop his skills year after year, and his progress is a testament to his hard work.  Outside of the pitch, Logan is a familiar face at the Foundation’s A Team Hub, where he’s a regular at all sessions. He says the A Team and LD team are his “happy place”, and it’s clear to everyone around him how much he values being part of the Leopard family.

Nathaniel Woodward

DOB: JANUARY 2012

Heritage Number: 14

Nathaniel turns up to every training session with a big smile on his face and a brilliant attitude. He loves getting stuck into training and taking part in the festivals, showing enthusiasm and joy in everything he does on the pitch. One of Nathaniel’s favourite moments is when he gets to play in front of his biggest supporter – his big sister Erin. She’s his favourite person, and he always shines a little brighter when she’s there to cheer him on.

Will is a rapid and skilful player who’s always on the lookout for a gap in the game – especially at festivals where he truly comes alive. His quick feet and sharp thinking make him a real asset on the pitch. Off the pitch, Will is just as impressive. He’s the heart of the team, always making sure everyone’s smiling and having fun. His teammates love being around him – not just for his rugby skills, but for the positivity he brings every single session.

Since joining the LD team, Damien’s confidence has grown massively – and it shows both on and off the pitch. Week in, week out, Damien gives 110%, always showing up ready to give his best. Damien’s journey is a brilliant example of how dedication and community can build confidence and bring out the very best in a player.

Cohen keeps everyone entertained with his brilliant stories and big personality! At festivals, he’s not just a player – he’s our ace referee, going to the screen and awarding tries (even for the opposition!). His love for the game and infectious energy bring joy to everyone around him. Always smiling through training and on the pitch, Cohen’s passion is clear – so much so, he’s even talked his brother into joining the team! He’s also a proud Leopards member and a regular at the Foundation’s A Team Hub, where his positivity continues to shine.

Dylan is a cheeky chap with a big personality and a whole lot of friends on the team. He brings great energy to every session and always has a smile (and maybe a joke or two) to share. He really enjoys his rugby and especially loves the buzz of playing in front of a crowd – it’s where he shines the most!

Callum is a brilliant all-rounder – strong in both attack and defence, and lightning fast when he spots a gap! Season after season, he’s grown as a player, always building on his skills and game sense. What makes Callum really stand out is his teamwork. He’s always looking out for his teammates, making sure everyone gets a chance to shine – including setting them up to score! A true team player with a big heart and quick feet.

Mark is a fantastic personality in the team, bringing loads of enthusiasm and positive energy every time he steps on the pitch. He absolutely loves his rugby – especially defending – and he’s so enthusiastic, he sometimes even takes his own team’s tags! Mark is a great teammate who plays with passion and heart. He loves scoring tries, and his big smile and upbeat attitude always lift the squad around him. With Mark on the pitch, there’s never a dull moment!

Francis is a key player in the squad, with a natural eye for the try line – and he finds it regularly! His sharp instincts and determination make him a real threat in attack. But Francis isn’t just about scoring – he’s also a fantastic support player, always there to back up his teammates and help drive the team forward. A reliable and hardworking player who always makes an impact on the pitch.

Oliver is a walking, talking ray of sunshine! His love for rugby league and the Leopards shines through in everything he does. Oliver’s presence makes every session more fun, and his team is always better for having him there.

Reece joined the Leopards last season and quickly made an impact with his intelligent approach to the game. He’s always thinking about his next move, analysing his play, and making sure his team stays one step ahead. When adversity strikes, Reece is the type of player who doesn’t back down – he overcomes challenges with determination and ensures both he and his team come out on top. A resilient and thoughtful player, Reece’s contribution is invaluable on and off the pitch.

Spencer may be a bit shy off the pitch, but once he’s on it, he truly comes alive. Since joining the Leopards last season, Spencer has gone from strength to strength, not only building his confidence but also honing his rugby skills. It’s been amazing to witness Spencer’s progress in just one year, and we’re excited to see how he continues to come out of his shell this season. His growth as both a player and a person is a testament to his hard work and determination.

DOB: JULY 2016 

Alfie is our little firecracker! Full of energy and always eager to learn, he lights up the pitch every time he plays. We’re hoping by the end of the season he might have grown into his kit, but for now, he’s making a big impact in a small package! On his first outing, he scored in front of the LSV crowd and showed us just how much he can get the fans roaring. We can’t wait to see what he does next!

A naturally intelligent rugby player who takes everything in with real focus and works hard to put it into practice on the field. Quiet by nature but highly skillful and physically strong, he consistently impresses with his determination and understanding of the game. A true asset to the team, both in attitude and ability — and always turning up with a sharp haircut to match his sharp performances.

A quiet player who is growing in confidence every week. Very intelligent and skilful, with lightning speed off the defensive line and already one of the best taggers on the team. It’s exciting to see his progress, and we’re really looking forward to watching him develop his attacking game. A definite superstar in the making!
