Leigh Leopard’s Player Development Pathway, which was launched in January 2023, has already provided training opportunities for over 150 players from Leigh and the Northwest. The program offers professional club-style training and coaching, and gives players the chance to represent Leigh Leopard’s in a match.
Players from 14 community clubs and coaches from local teams have participated so far, and our goal is to continue building and increasing participation throughout the year, offering more playing opportunities.
In collaboration with RFL’s England Talent Pathway, the program has generated significant interest, with many players taking part in skills and game development sessions. The aim is to enhance the quality of the player experience and increase inclusivity by providing more opportunities for players to showcase their potential.
