Leigh Leopards can confirm that Jack Darbyshire has joined Rochdale Hornets on loan until the end of the season with an option of a recall.

The former Warrington Wolves product has found first team opportunities elusive during his time at the Leopards Den but has impressed during two seasons with Stuart Littler’s Reserves side.

Last season he made his senior debut at the start of a successful loan spell with Hornets.

Leopards CEO Neil Jukes said: “Jack’s been a valuable asset to Staurt Littler’s reserve side, and scored some good tries for them. At this stage in his development we feel it would be best for Jack to make the step up to a more competitive level and Rochdale have presented that opportunity.”
