Andrew Badrock signs Three-year-Deal

Leigh Leopards are pleased to confirm that Andrew Badrock has extended his contract with the club until the end of 2028 season.

Badrock, 24, joined Leopards from Swinton Lions during the winter and has already made his mark in his first season as a full-time professional.

The former Leigh Miners Rangers product, who earned Lancashire and England honours during his time in the community game, has scored a try in each of Leopards’ opening games and earned heritage number HN#1571.

Head of Rugby Chris Chester said:

“It’s a very unprecedented situation offering a player an extension just a few months after signing him but is really just evidence of how impressed we’ve been with Andy’s ability and attitude since he’s joined us.

“Leigh fans will already have had a glimpse at his ability with the two tries he’s scored against Warrington and Workington. He’s got a really big future and we’re really happy Andy has decided that future is here at Leigh.”

Andrew Badrock said: “I am really happy with the opportunity to extend my future here with the Leopards.

“I have enjoyed the first couple of months with the team, as well as having the opportunity to work with Adrian and rest of the coaching staff.

“I can see the direction the club is going in and their ambitions for success. Hopefully I can be apart of that and see what we can achieve in the next couple of years.”
