2025 Womens’ Super League Fixtures

LEIGH LEOPARDS WOMEN FIXTURES UNVEILED

Leigh Leopards are delighted to confirm the fixtures for the Betfred Women’s Super League for 2025.

Kieron Purtill’s team reached the top level of the women’s game in this country after a record-breaking 2024 season.

Leopards won three grand finals in successive weeks following an unbeaten league programme to achieve their goals.

Now the focus is on the task ahead and the excitement of competing in the elite eight-team competition.

Leopards are already in training three days a week as the head coach and his staff undertake an intense preseason programme.

Kieron Purtill said: “Firstly, it’s an exciting day to receive confirmation of our Super League fixtures.

“We worked very hard to get to this position and we are excited by what lies ahead.

“It’s a tough challenge but one that the group is embracing. When the season starts, we will be better as a group, and we want to be in a position where we are challenging the best.

“Every team will be having the same conversations, but we are training very hard and we will be ready.”

Leopards have two home fixtures in the first two rounds when the Super League season starts in May.

Barrow Raiders, who pipped Leopards to promotion in 2023, are in town for the club’s historic first Women’s Super League fixture.

Warrington Wolves provide the opposition in Round 2 before Leopards make their first road trip to play Huddersfield Giants.

2024 champions York Valkyrie are in town in mid-June before the month ends with successive trips to Wigan Warriors for the Battle of the Borough and then Leeds Rhinos.

Three away games follow in July as Leopards travel to York, St Helens and Barrow.

Their season ends with four home games out of the last five fixtures.

Wigan, Leeds, Huddersfield and Saints all visit Leigh with the sequence broken only by the return game with Warrington.

Before the Super League starts, Leopards will play some Warmup games ahead of the start of the Betfred Challenge Cup in April. This will again be staged on a group basis with the top eight teams qualifying for the quarterfinals and a straight knock-out before the Wembley final on 7 June.
