Leigh Leopards are pleased to confirm the signing of Oliver Polec who joins Adrian Lam’s 2026 squad on a three-year contract.
Polec, 19 tomorrow, is a promising young middle who has graduated through the Woolston Rovers community club, then the St Helens scholarship and academy ranks. He represented Lancashire in the 2025 Academy Origin game.
Oliver Polec said: “I’m delighted to have signed for Leigh Leopards. I’m really looking forward to working with Adrian Lam and the rest of the coaching staff. I feel this is a great opportunity for me to push myself to the next level and progress my career with a great Super League club. I am excited to get started.”
Leopards head coach Adrian Lam said: “Oliver is a great addition to our squad.
“He is still a very young front row forward with plenty of potential. He is still learning his trade and I feel strongly that being in our system will help catapult him to the next level. Ollie is a competitor, an explosive and direct ball carrier. We are all looking forward to him joining our squad and watching him develop and grow over the next couple of years.”
Leopards CEO Neil Jukes said: “Whilst we’re working hard as a club to bring in players who can instantly strengthen our 17, it’s also important to have one eye on the future and that’s definitely the case with Oliver.
“He’s a young lad with all the right assets to really be a success in the game so we’re thrilled to bring him on board.”
