Matchday notice for supporters requiring a Personal Assistant.
Disabled matchday tickets are available in both the West and East Stands, priced at the relevant age category for the disabled person. A free-of-charge Personal Assistant ticket may be issued depending on eligibility.
Supporters requiring assistance in 2024 will need to apply in advance of matchdays to ensure their account is updated with their eligibility. They will only need to do this once but must apply five working days in advance of a matchday to assist us with processing the application ahead of scheduled fixtures.
Please provide one of the following levels of proof, so that we can consider your ticket application, which will be subject to further checks and interview:
· Entitlement to the higher care component of the Personal Independent Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Attendance Allowance age 65+ Care Component.
· Letter from the person’s General Practitioner confirming that they are a disabled person with a recognised impairment that requires extra help.
· A copy of a local Blind or Partially Sighted person’s registration card or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) document.
Please note that providing any of the above documents does not guarantee a Personal Assistant ticket but will progress your application. Being previously deemed eligible for a Personal Assistant ticket does not necessarily mean this will still be the case.
Please also note that in cases where the process has not been followed and a ticket for a Personal Assistant is purchased, if subsequently an application is approved, a refund can be requested.
Personal Assistant tickets are not available in the North Stand.
The applications are treated in the strictest of confidence.
Every individual experiences their disability very differently and Leigh Leopards recognises this. Accordingly, we try not to make generalisations and each request for a complimentary Personal Assistant ticket will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We will listen to what the individual says about the daily effects of their disability and let them identify the difficulties they may have in attending a match.
We do not accept claims for free of charge Personal Assistant tickets by telephone. Please therefore email your proof of eligibility to [email protected] or call 01942 487896 to book an appointment to attend the Stadium with your documentation. Please ensure that the eligibility documentation that you wish to submit has a valid date and has not expired.
Please apply at least five working days before you purchase a matchday ticket. Any supporter asking for a Personal Assistant ticket at the ticket office without having an application assessed will regrettably be informed that they are not approved and be required to contact the Club on the above details.
