Head Designer at Debeau Performance, Gareth Edwards, had this to say regarding the 2026 Magic WKND Kit’s design:

“As the new Head of Design at Debeau Performance, Magic Weekend was my first opportunity to work with the Leigh Leopards. From the beginning, it was important to retain the club’s visual DNA through the leopard print, while reinterpreting it at a larger scale and through a more expressive approach to colour.

The introduction of purple came from the idea of colour mixology; blending Leigh’s historic red with the royal blue associated with this grand new stadium setting and landmark occasion. That fusion created something both symbolic and visually striking: a balance between heritage and celebration. Layered tones bring energy and movement to the kit, creating a finish that feels elevated and worthy of the occasion itself.

Enlarged leopard markings and flowing colour transitions were designed to create impact from distance while still revealing detail up close. The final result is a kit that feels bold, modern, and unmistakably Leigh.”
