Leopards Foundation Staff Step Up and Climb Snowdon

This year, the Leigh Leopards Foundation staff have decided it’s time to embrace the blisters and set themselves the challenge of climbing Wales’s highest peak.

The team will climb Snowdon on Saturday 22nd June 2024 to raise money for the A-Team Hub, the Foundation’s Children’s S.E.N Centre.

The A-Team Hub is an integral part of the Leigh Leopards Foundation delivery and provides a unique space for families with children living with Neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders.

The Hub is reliant on external funding and fundraising to continue to deliver the services. Over the past three years the Foundation has been humbled by the many parents and people in the community that have raised funds for the A-Team Hub. This helps ensure the continuation of the provision of early intervention services to local children, young people and families.

Leopards Foundation Programmes Director Hannah Forbes said: “Here at the A-Team Hub we have been so fortunate to have amazing parents who have gone above and beyond in helping us fundraise over the last three years.

“This has enabled us to replace and purchase essential equipment for the children. As staff we feel that it’s only fair for us to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and match the kindness of our parents by raising funds ourselves.

“Up to now we have a team of 22 staff, volunteers and family members that will be making the trek up Snowdon and hopefully reach our fundraising target.

“Thank you to everybody that has sponsored us and promoted our campaign so far”.

We are striving to raise £5,000 to improve the facilities at The A-Team Hub. This will directly benefit over 350 families who are supported by the Hub and the thousands of children and individuals who attend our sessions away from the Hub.

Your support, whether through donation, spreading the word or joining us, will make a significant impact on their lives by enhancing the resources and programmes available to them.
