Leigh Leopards are proud to confirm they are planning another tribute to the late Rob Burrow CBE at tomorrow’s Betfred Super League home game against Huddersfield Giants (3pm).
The club was honoured to participate in the wonderful tribute prepared by Leeds Rhinos in the recent game at Emerald Headingley, marking the occasion with a specially prepared Burrow7 flag that was crowd surfed around the Leopards supporters at the game.
Now the club wishes to enable supporters unable to be present at Headingley to show their appreciation of an outstanding player whose bravery, spirit and optimism in the face of adversity inspired and touched the hearts of millions of people around the world and hugely raised the awareness of a crippling and cruel disease.
In the seventh minute of the Giants game at the Leopards Den the flag will be crowd surfed around the North Stand as a further tribute from the Leigh Leopards club.
We invite all supporters present at the game to participate in a minute’s applause in the seventh minute of the game to accompany the flag crowd surfing the iconic North Stand.
