Head Designer at Debeau Performance, Bradley Edwards had this to say regarding the 2026 Away Kit’s design:

“The ambition from the very start was to explore a different side of the leopard’s world. We chose to immerse the kit in a jungle habitat; dense, unpredictable, and alive with movement. The rainforest offered a perfect metaphor for both the team’s resilience and the challenge of playing away from home; beautiful yet hostile, layered and intense. That sense of depth was crucial, so the design was built in multiple visual layers, drawing the eye deeper into the fabric the longer you look.

“Movement became a central design language throughout the kit. A rain inspired pattern flows across the shirt, creating a sense of constant motion, as if the surface is never still, much like the jungle itself. This rain effect also speaks to pressure, endurance, and the relentlessness of away fixtures. Within these layers sit subtle leopard references: tonal markings and eyes woven into the fabric that echo the animal’s camouflage and hunting instincts. These details aren’t immediately obvious, but they reveal themselves over time, rewarding closer inspection and reinforcing the identity of the Leopards without overpowering the design.

“Colour played a key role in balancing familiarity with evolution. A dark base grounds the kit as a true away strip, while trend-led vibrant green contrasts cut through the shadows, symbolising life, energy, and danger within the rainforest. That green also connects naturally to the jungle theme while giving the kit a sharp, modern edge under stadium lights. Throughout the process, we worked closely with the club to ensure the shirt felt unmistakably Leigh, respectful of their identity, but brave enough to push it somewhere new. The result is a kit that feels both familiar and different: rooted in the Leopards’ DNA, yet bold in its storytelling and execution.”
