Leigh Leopards can confirm that Jacob Gannon has joined York Knights on a season long loan with the option of a recall.

Gannon, 22, joined the Leopards from Warrington Wolves before the start of last season but has yet to make his first team debut for the club.

He has furthered his experience with loan spells in the Championship and League One, most recently with Swinton Lions.

Head of Rugby Chris Chester said: “We’ve let Jacob join York on loan to get some first team experience and this was a great opportunity for that.”
