CS Civils & Groundworks 2025 Official Kit Partner

Leigh Leopards Announce Sponsorship Deal with CS (Civils & Groundworks) Ltd for 2025 Season

Leigh Leopards are delighted to confirm CS (Civils & Groundworks) Ltd as official kit sponsors ahead of the 2025 season.

The Company is a highly respected locally based construction contractor which carries out works across the Infrastructure, Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Retail, Education, Health and Energy sectors. Their name will feature on the sleeve of the team’s playing kit.

Managing Director Steve Openshaw is a Life Member of the club and a former long-serving director of the Leopards. He maintains his connection not only through sponsorship and lifetime support but by providing valued and voluntary specialist consultancy services.

On behalf of the company, Steve said: “CS (Civils and Groundworks) Ltd are massive supporters of Rugby League from the youth ages through to Super League and are proud to continue our long association with the Leopards into 2025.

“Our core work areas, including that of our client base and strategic partners, extend across the north from St. Helens to Hull, hence our investment in the sport and its community helps underpin the foundations of the business. We’re hugely looking forward to next season already and helping push the growth of the club even further.”

Leigh Leopards COO Steve Kerr said: “CS Civils have been an incredible partner of the club over a long period. Last season, they sponsored fan favourite Matty Moylan, you could see their company branding on the LEDs and in the stands under the AB Sundecks stage. Steve and his business partner Danny Attersall are great friends of the club and will continue their long-standing relationship with us by featuring on the club’s playing kit on the Left Sleeve.

“Having a reputable business with a long-standing relationship with the club is key to our success on and off the field. In CS Civils we have a partnership that seeks to deliver a return on investment through our networks and through brand visibility on the kit that will support their marketing and sales objectives.

“I’ve known Steve for a few years now and I know we share similar values and a ‘work hard’ attitude to be successful. The company’s mission is to deliver steady growth and achieve excellent customer service in a sustainable way.

“This is something we value at Leigh Leopards, and we look forward to a successful partnership and having some fun along the way.”

Steve Openshaw, a civil engineer by profession, founded CS (Civils & Groundworks) Ltd in 2012 from its original head office in his hometown of Leigh. The firm has grown sustainably and steadily in size, establishing itself as one of the leading civil engineering and groundworks contractors in the region. In 2020, the company moved to larger offices adjacent to the M61 in Bolton while retaining a core interest in Leigh by continuing their long-term sponsorship of the Leopards and supporting several other local sporting clubs and social value enterprises.

Self-funded and by reinvesting its profits into plant and machinery, the business has completed over £100m of work on over 200 projects for an established and reliable client base.

The business also holds a multitude of industry standard accreditations, and a robust policy, procedures, safety and quality assurance structure. This ethos has created a highly respected reputation for providing a diligent, reliable, low maintenance service.
