Leigh Leopards are saddened to learn of the passing of veteran RL journalist Alan Thomas, aged 90. Alan served the game with distinction as a local and national newspaper correspondent, reporting with style, accuracy, respect, compassion, and knowledge.

He was a great pressbox companion and always had a cheery word for everyone, generous with his time especially to young reporters. He was widely respected throughout the game and particularly among club officials, coaches and players.
