Leigh Leopards are delighted to confirm that Head Coach Adrian Lam has been nominated for Betfred Super League Coach of the Year.
Adrian Lam joined the Leopards last season, guiding the then Centurions to a record breaking treble of Betfred Championship League Leaders’ Shield, promotion via the play-offs and AB Sundecks 1895 Cup success.
This season Leigh Leopards lifted the Betfred Challenge Cup for the first time in 52 years and earned their highest league placing for 41 years. Their exciting brand of Rugby League attracted the club’s highest average home league crowds for over 60 years.
The Leopards finished fifth in Super League, the highest placed finish by a promoted team and go to Hull KR on Friday for the club’s first ever Play-Off game of their Super League history.
If he were to win the award it would be the second of Lammy’s career having been a previous recipient in 2020, when he was head coach at Wigan Warriors.
Also nominated for the award are last year’s winner, Matt Peet (Wigan Warriors), Steve McNamara (Catalans Dragons) and Paul Rowley (Salford Red Devils).
