Leopards Thank Our Departing Players

Leigh Leopards would like extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to five players who will leave the club at the conclusion of the 2026 season to pursue new opportunities.

Isaac Liu, Robbie Mulhern, Ben McNamara and Bailey Hodgson will all continue their careers within Super League, while Owen Trout will head to Australia to pursue an exciting opportunity in the NRL.

Each player has made a valued contribution during their time in a Leigh Leopards shirt, representing the club with commitment, professionalism and pride.

From the work put in on the training ground to the moments shared with our supporters on matchday, all five have played their part in the continued journey of the Leopards and have earned the respect and appreciation of everyone connected with the club.

As previously announced, Jack Hughes will also retire from professional rugby league at the conclusion of the season. The club would like to once again recognise Jack’s outstanding service to Leigh Leopards and thank him for everything he has given to the club throughout his career.

As they prepare to embark on the next steps of their careers, the club would like to thank Isaac, Robbie, Ben, Bailey and Owen for their service and dedication to Leigh Leopards, and once again wish Jack every happiness and success as he begins the next chapter of his life.

We are proud to have had each of them represent our club and wish them, and their families, every success, happiness and good health in the future.

With Friday’s Round 27 clash against Wakefield Trinity potentially the final opportunity for the Leigh Faithful to see these players take to the field at the Leopards Den, we want to encourage our supporters to come together and give the lads the send-off they deserve.

Let’s pack the Den, raise the roof and make our voices heard.

Be The Roar for them one last time in the Leopards Den.

Thank you, lads, for everything you have given to the club. Once a Leopard, always a Leopard.

Up the Leopards!
