Jack Ashworth Signs for Leigh Leopards Until End of 2028
Leigh Leopards are delighted to confirm the signing of experienced forward Jack Ashworth from Castleford Tigers, with the 31-year-old joining the club with immediate effect on a contract until the end of the 2028 season.
Ashworth arrives at Leigh with more than 100 Super League appearances to his name, having previously represented St Helens, Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC and Castleford Tigers. A product of the St Helens system, the Rochdale-born forward made his Super League debut in 2015 and was part of the Saints side that lifted the 2019 Super League Grand Final, coming off the bench in the victory over Salford at Old Trafford. He also represented England Knights in 2019.
A versatile forward capable of operating through the middle or on the back row, Ashworth has built a reputation as a tough and physical competitor throughout his Super League career. Noted for his size, athleticism, leg speed and versatility.

Ashworth returns to Leigh having previously spent time with the club on loan during the 2021 season, before going on to establish himself as an experienced Super League forward.
His arrival adds further experience, size and versatility to the Leopards pack as the club enters the crucial stages of the 2026 Betfred Super League campaign, while securing his services through to the end of 2028.
