Leigh Leopards can confirm that young back Will Brough has joined Halifax Panthers on a season-long loan deal following a successful short-term spell with the Championship club earlier this year.

Will made his first-team debut for the Leopards against Warrington Wolves in 2026 and continues to impress as part of our developing young talent pathway.

The talented playmaker spent much of the 2025 season gaining valuable senior experience on loan with Midlands Hurricanes, while also featuring regularly for our reserves side. Earlier this season, he also enjoyed a short-term loan spell with Salford RLFC as part of his continued development.

Halifax Panthers will provide another strong opportunity for Will to gain consistent first-team minutes in the Betfred Championship and continue his progression in senior rugby league.

Leigh Leopards’ Director of Rugby Andrew Henderson said this; ““We are thankful to Halifax for providing the opportunity to Will to gain some valuable game time and experience at present. It is important as a young player that they are playing regularly and being exposed to a decent standard of Rugby League to further aid their development.”
