Leigh Leopards were delighted to host key kit and player sponsors to Captain’s Run at the Leopards Den ahead of the Toby King testimonial game against Warrington Wolves.
Head of Rugby Chris Chester, Head Coach Adrian Lam, PWM Ste Maden and Darnell McIntosh joined newly appointed women’s team captain Storm Cobain in addressing the assembled sponsors in Legends Bar.
The group received an insight into the club’s preparations for the 2025 season and watched the Leopards train on the main pitch. Sponsors presented warm up tops to their respective players before joining the squad to breakfast.
Leigh Leopards COO Steve Kerr said: “It was great to spend a morning for our Famileigh, key partners and sponsors at the captain’s run breakfast. We are always thinking of ways to add value and I’ve spoken about being better connected to our community and partners and the best way to do that comes forms being connected in person and building relationships at all levels of the club. It was important that before the season starts players get to meet their sponsor and it’s a nice way to start the season.
“We’ve spent the morning together expertly delivered by our Chairman, Mike Latham with Chris, Steve and players Darnell and Storm speaking brilliantly about their preparation and ambition for the season. It’s always inspiring listening to Adrian who spoke passionately about this group of players and staff and the preparation for the Warrington fixture tomorrow. It’s been great to share the captain’s run experience with our partners. I think everyone really enjoyed having breakfast with the players and staff and I’d like to say a big thanks to all our sponsors for their support.
“There are plenty more opportunities throughout the season and we have a few remaining players available for sponsorship if supporters or businesses would like to sponsor a player. Tomorrow we start the season and we’re really looking forward to making all our sponsors feel part of it.”
