2025 Fixtures Revealed
Leigh Leopards will begin their 2025 season with a Betfred Challenge Cup-tie in the fixture list revealed by the Rugby Football League this morning.
In a break from tradition, the 12 Super League clubs will join the competition at the Round 4 (last 32 stage) on the weekend of 8-9 February 2025.
The next rounds take place each month thereafter, culminating in the Final at Wembley on Saturday 7 June.
The Betfred Super League opens the following week, with Leopards facing a Battle of the Borough against champions Wigan Warriors at the Brick Community Stadium on Thursday 13 February.
Under the fixture arrangements for 2025 Leopards’ loop fixtures are away against the first and eleventh placed clubs from 2024, home against the third and ninth placed clubs with their Magic weekend game against the seventh placed club.
Accordingly, Leopards will travel to Wigan again in Round 11 before hosting the Warriors at the Leopards Den in Round 17.
Leopards also travel twice to play Hull FC, in Rounds 4 and 22, while twice entertaining Huddersfield Giants (Rounds 2 and 27) and Warrington Wolves (Rounds 8 and 20).
Leopards open the first day of Magic Weekend against Catalans Dragons on Saturday 3 May and their eagerly awaited Round 15 trip to Perpignan is on Saturday 21 June.
With essential pitch maintenance at the Leopards Den again taking place in midsummer Leopards’ fixture list again has a lopsided look.
No less that 11 of the club’s first 16 fixtures are away from home before Leopards enter the exciting finishing straight to the season by playing eight of their last 11 games at the Leopards Den.
Games days are Thursday to Sunday due to television requirements with eight fixtures each scheduled to be on Thursdays and Fridays, seven on Saturdays and four on Sundays.
After their Round 1 fixture at Wigan Leopards make their 2025 Leopards Den stadium bow against Huddersfield Giants on Sunday 23 February before entertaining Catalans Dragons the following Friday.
They then face back-to-back away games to Humberside to play Hull FC and Hull KR before hosting promoted Wakefield Trinity.
Warrington Wolves provide the only home opposition in April and Hull FC in May before Leopards begin a four-game away streak.
They return to the Leopards Den to play Wigan on 4 July with Hull KR in town the following week.
August sees four home fixtures against Warrington Wolves, Leeds Rhinos, Salford Red Devils and Castleford Tigers. The race for the play-offs intensifies in September as St Helens and Huddersfield bring the curtain down on the regular season.
