MY RUGBY LEAGUE JOURNEY: Through my dad and older cousin already playing. Started when I was six for a short while and finished but then got back into playing when I was aged ten for school. Got asked to go and play on my friend’s boys’ team at Leigh East, but then we found out girls had to stop playing in a boys team once you go to high school! There weren’t many girls’ teams around here at that time so I stayed with the team up until the end of U18s, helping out on training and match days etc! Got back into playing when I was 20 as the girls I had been coaching moved on to open age rugby so we formed a team down at Leigh East where I played for three seasons. Had the 2014 season out whilst I had my son and then returned to playing with Wigan St Pats for two seasons, as unfortunately, for various reasons, the Leigh East team folded. 2017 was another season out whilst having my twin girls. In Dec 2017 I trialled for St Helens and played there for three seasons in Super League (the third being a washout season due to Covid). After this I moved across to Warrington where I also spent three seasons, two in Super League 2 and then we gained promotion to Super League 1 for the 2023 season. In 2024 I had the opportunity to ‘come home’ and enjoyed a successful season with the Leigh Leopards, completing ‘Mission Impossible’ and gaining promotion to Super League for the 2025 season and hopefully beyond.

FORMER CLUBS: Leigh East ARLFC, Wigan St Pats, St Helens, Warrington Wolves.

REP HONOURS: Was part of the 2013 England World Cup squad, but suffered an ankle injury in the final selection match! Coached England Women’s Students during the 2012 programme.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Scoring five tries, kicking 8/9 goals and earning Player of the Match for Leigh East in our 2012 Grand Final where we beat Stanningley 52-4.

AMBITION: Continue to pass on my knowledge and experience to my teammates and the younger generation coming through Play as many games as possible this season and contribute to keeping Leigh Leopards Women in Super League beyond 2025.
