Leigh Leopards would like to update members on their membership collections.
All members who purchased membership or renewed membership prior to the 1st December and did not collect these before Christmas can collect their completed membership package from the Leigh Youth Hub at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday the 17th of January and Friday the 19th of January between 9am and 8pm.
Please note that this collection is only for members who purchased or renewed memberships ahead of the 1st of December deadline.
Additional Gold Card membership boxes have arrived and all Gold Card members can now receive the correct boxes. If any Gold Card members would like to collect their replacement box, please attend our collection dates. Due to Gold boxes being repackaged all membership packages are currently not available for collection from Leigh Sports Village until the 17th and 19th of January, so please do not attend the Stadium to collect these in the coming days.
Black Card and Platinum Card members may collect their membership packages at any time during opening hours from reception at Leigh Sports Village. Members that chose to collect their package without their heritage polos pre Christmas may now also collect their shirts.
The Leigh Youth Hub is located on the front of Leigh Sports Village between the stadium and Morrison’s and close to the John Woods Statue.
All memberships purchased after the 1st of December will be available for collection in the first week of February and exact details of how and where to collect these will be communicated nearer the time. Anyone who was given their membership package but without the membership card will also collect their cards at this time.
The Club would like to thank its members for the amazing response this year, which has seen a 250 percent increase in memberships. Over 4,800 members are now enrolled at the club.
There is still an opportunity to pass the 5,000-membership mark with a month to go before the start of the season. Supporters can still renew or subscribe via direct debit by making the missing payments at time of sign up. For example, an adult White Card membership would cost £100 on sign up, then £25 per month from February until September inclusive.
The introduction of the Red Card membership has been very popular with over 600 members already and only 20 of those are existing members that have taken that option. This is a fantastic way to be a member of the club and enjoy exclusive benefits and priority access to ticket sales.
The Club would like to remind supporters that there is limited availability for the North Stand with most of it having White Card members and above. When tickets go on sale on a first-come-first-served basis to Red Card members it is certain that it will sell out well before general sale.
Club owner Derek Beaumont said: “The take up by the town has been remarkable and highly motivating to me. Having invested further in a third marquee signing and strengthening the squad with additional numbers and a reserves team, it gives me great support that it is what the people of the town want to see.
“The support of our retail merchandise has also been fantastic with more than 3,000 of the memberships purchased including a replica shirt or polo and many more purchased at the stall. It is this support that has seen me invest in building a mobile shop to be located outside the Leopards Den at Leigh Sports Village to assist with supporters being able to make purchases more easily and in particular on match days.
“I am currently working on the early part of the calendar for the pre match entertainment, in particular around the opening fixture against the Giants and I hope to be able to release details of this in the next week which will also no doubt create some demand for tickets.
“A significant part of the success of the commercial aspect of the club is down to the performances of the players on the field and I would like to place on record my appreciation of the efforts of all the coaching and performance staff and to all of our squad who have been outstanding in their approach to the new season.
“Whilst I couldn’t make the warm weather camp in Lanzarote, I am aware it was again a huge success and has set the bar even higher than we did at this stage last year. As Adrian says, “winning takes care of everything” and with success comes more pressure but we are also very mindful of the other elements that are extremely important to the club to ensure Super League status with the grading system which will this year be implemented for real.
“It has never been more important to bring a friend and convince others to ‘be the roar’. We finished with a sell out at the end of last season, and it would be remarkable if we could achieve that for the opening game.
“As I have said many times it’s easier for 4,000 people to each convince one person than one person convincing 4,000 people. If all our current members were to achieve that we would be sold out and what a message that would be.”
Memberships can be purchased by visiting our membership page or by telephone 01942 487896 or in person at the ticket office by requesting a club member of staff to assist you.
