Development Academy Coach, Andrew Hodson, has spent the most of 2023 going up and down some of the most challenging mountains in the Lake District as he undertakes the ‘Wainwright Fells Challenge’ to raise money for The Christie Charity.
The challenge involves climbing all 214 peaks listed in Alfred Wainwright’s book ‘Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells’. Which Andrew hopes to have completed by the end of the year.
When discussing the motivation behind taking on the massive undertaking Andrew explained why he’s taking it on “It’s something I’ve always wanted to achieve in my life, so I thought whilst I haven’t got much to do I thought I’d try and squeeze it all into the space of a year”
The Christie Charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to our patients and their families.
